The Art farm - created to change the lives of artists
We are a hui (Hawaiian word meaning “family or like-minded group”) every member of our hui does stuff for the hui as a whole. As a family of artists, we grow organically using professional methods and creative strategies. We are pragmatic innovators. If you are looking for a free lunch, if you are a freeloader that will not do the work then, the Art Farm is not for you. Created by artists for artists at our core we are artists helping artists. The Art Farm has two core principles: the principle of giving and the principle of neutrality.
The Principle of Giving:
The
Art Farm exists to give. If you are responsible for a fellow artist having a big
success and you are truly happy for them then, you understand the principle of
giving. Enough said.
The Principle of Neutrality:
The Art Farm does not take sides left of right in Politics. We are Up and Down. Up at the top is high integrity. Down at the bottom is no integrity. We support and promote high integrity things like honesty, trustworthiness, letting our yes mean yes and our no mean no.
In Hawaii we say, "if can, can" and "if no can, no can."
Our neutrality also applies to religious and social issues. Really, any issues that divide and create barriers between people are not engaged by the Art Farm.
Why are we neutral? Because neutrality inspires and preserves unity. Without unity, the principle of putting the interests of others ahead of our own interests would be impossible. Neutrality often calls for courage and sacrifice from those who refuse to take sides in the divisive issues of the world.
In the face of nationalism, when nations are at war, the pressure to takes sides can be extreme. If I pick a side and you are on the other side, how can I really trust that you will put my interests ahead of your interests? Taking sides kills unity. The day the Art Farm abandons the principle of neutrality is the day that the Art Farm has returned to following the herd.
